Sarawak DAP chairman retains Kota Sentosa

KUCHING: Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen retained the Kota Sentosa seat for his third term.
Chong who is also Bandar Kuching Member of Parliament won with a majority of 2,819 votes over BN candidate Yap Yau Sin.
Chong obtained 10,047 votes while Yap, 7,228 votes.
In the 2011 state election, Chong defeated BN candidate Datuk Alfred Yap Chin Lio with a majority of 4,824 votes. — Bernama
