UEM Edgenta to invest RM22m to set up three facilities

    PETALING JAYA: UEM Edgenta Bhd, a total asset management services provider, will invest RM22 million to set up a command centre, research and development (R&D) centre and premix plant, as part of its plans to establish an active facilities management and Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities for and within the South East Asia market.
    Speaking to reporters after the company's AGM today, its managing director and CEO Azmir Merican said the company will spend RM3.5 million to develop the command center for its energy management system for 32 government hospitals in the northern region.
    He said, it is to be fully operational by the third quarter this year.
    Azmir added that the company intends to spend RM2.5 million and RM12 million for the R&D center and premix plant respectively, which is to be completed by fourth quarter 2016 and third quarter 2017.
