THE Swiss watchmaker is adding to its "Classics" collection with a new exceptional timepiece.
The "Classics Art of Porcelain" watch has a handmade white porcelain dial and is being produced in a 188-piece limited edition. It's due to sell for €1,995 (RM9,100).
With colours, sunray patterns or mother of pearl finishes, watchmakers pay particular attention to dial design, since the faces of their timepieces are constantly in their future wearers' line of sight.
Frédérique Constant stands out for spring 2016 with a model featuring a handmade white porcelain dial.
With its distinctive design and time-consuming production process, this new watch is being restricted to a 188-piece limited edition.
Each dial is crafted by artisans in Hungary's Zsolnay porcelain works, using a technique that helps the material keep its color for several decades.
The remarkable dial of the "Classics Art of Porcelain" watch is housed in a 40mm three-part case made from polished stainless steel.
The dial is finished with black Roman numerals, matched with a black crocodile-effect calfskin strap.
This watch uses the FC-302 caliber self-winding movement with hours and minutes functions. It has a 42-hour power reserve.
