BN prepared to face Opposition in upcoming by-elections: KJ (Updated)

BALIK PULAU: Barisan Nasional is prepared to face anyone from the Opposition in the upcoming parliamentary by-election, said Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin (pix).
Khairy said BN, especially Umno Youth, is in full preparation and its only concern is the coalition's readiness in facing the by-election.
"The opposition can field anyone they want. For us, we are only concerned about our preparations," he said after launching the FitMalaysia programme, this morning.
He said that the opposition can field young or old candidate like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, BN will always be prepared to face it.
"Actually we don't really care who they (opposition) put as candidate, we are fully prepared", he explained.
Khairy said currently the Umno youth election machinery is in full gear in both Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar parliamentary by elections.
"We are fully prepare, our members now are being trained to work in both by-elections to attract younger voters and are working hard to ensure BN win", he said.
The Kuala Kangsar by-election is held following the death of its incumbent MP Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad in a helicopter crash in Sebuyau, Sarawak on May 5.
Also killed in the crash was Plantation Industries and Commodities Deputy Minister Datuk Noriah Kasnon, who was the incumbent MP for Sungai Besar, Selangor.
The Election Commission has fixed June 18 for polls.
Khairy who is also Youth and Sports Minister said FitMalaysia program will be continue to promote healthy lifestyle among the public.
He said the ministry will continue to tour the country in promoting the program and at the same time encourage Malaysian to participate in the program.
The 4th series of the program this time was held at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Balik Pulau has attract more than 12,000 participants competing in event like FitMalaysia Run (5km & 10km) and FitMalaysia Ride (10km & 30km).
