Lim and Chew had recorded their statements with the MACC two weeks ago over the purchase of the RM2.8 million bungalow and the Taman Manggis land sale.
When contacted, one of Lim's counsels, Ramkarpal Singh confirmed the visit and told theSun the officers were at the house to record a follow up statement from the chief minister.
He said that they took Lim's and his wife's statement at the house for about an hour.
"It was a follow up statement from the earlier visit to MACC two weeks ago", he said.
Rayer also said the five MACC officers visited Lim's home for a "routine inspection".
"They came to Lim's home to take further statements from him and his wife," Rayer said.
MACC Penang director M. Samarajoo declined to comment on the matter.
