THE actress who plays Dr. Callie Torrez on Grey's Anatomy has announced she will not be returning in season 13.
Ramirez first appeared on the show written by Shonda Rhimes in season two as a recurring character before eventually becoming a staple cast-member. A veteran of ten years on Grey's, Ramirez officially announced her farewell following the season 12 finale, reports entertainment source Deadline.
Her departure follows the exit of Patrick Dempsey's character Dr. Derek Shepherd in season 11.
Many of the actors' contracts for Grey's Anatomy are up this year and no one has yet been confirmed for season 13. — AFP Relaxnews
