The Kampung Padang Siding gate is damaged by strong winds which hit a few areas around Perlis.
KANGAR: Strong winds and a downpour over two hours today afternoon left a trail of destruction over several locations in Perlis.
According to the State Fire and Rescue Services Department, they received about 40 reports from residents over uprooted trees, roofs and other damage from about 2.30pm onwards.
"Among the areas most badly hit were Kampung Bakong, Kok Kelang, Sungai Batu Pahat, Arau, Santan and Kangar," said a department spokesman.
Several billboards were also damaged in the incident. No injuries were reported as of press time.
The winds were reportedly up to 31kmph.
