Firemen rescue mare from drain in Seri Kembangan

    KUALA LUMPUR: The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department today rescued a mare which fell into a 2m deep drain at Taman Pinggiran Putra in Seri Kembangan.
    A team of firemen spent about 40 minutes to bring the horse to safety via makeshift steps made from pieces of wood obtained from a nearby orchard.
    "The horse owner also assisted the firemen in the rescue of the animal which was calm during the operation," Cyberjaya Fire and Rescue Department senior fire officer Mohd Sabri Ismail told Bernama.
    He said the horse sustained injuries in the rear left leg in the incident at 12.37pm.
    The rescue mission involved seven firemen. — Bernama
