PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB) has been appointed the project delivery partner (PDP) for the main infrastructure of the proposed Kwasa Damansara township for a provisional fee of RM112.28 million.
In a stock exchange filing yesterday, MRCB said its wholly owned unit, MRCB Builders Sdn Bhd, has entered into a PDP agreement with Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd, the master developer of the project.
Kwasa Land will pay to MRCB Builders the provisional PDP fee, which represents 5% of the development cost of the project of about RM2.3 billion.
As PDP, MRCB Builder will construct and complete common infrastructure, including common roads, drainage system, waterworks, telecommunications, sewerage and mechanical and electrical infrastructure for the Petaling Jaya City Council area at the proposed township.
Its services include managing the approval processes from the authorities, managing the design consultants as well as project management in relation to the design process, procurement and construction for the project, contract administration as well as testing and commissioning by the respective works package contractors.
MRCB said the PDP contract will enhance the group’s track record and involvement in large scale infrastructure construction and development projects.
