SUNGAI BESAR: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Budiman Mohd Zohdi considers himself as the underdog in the Sungai Besar by-election.
Budiman, who is also Sungai Panjang state assemblyman said he will expand his services to Sekinchan, the other state constituency which comes under Sungai Besar parliamentary constituency.
"I consider the candidacy as an effort to complement my current duties. It is not going to be easy.
"I consider myself as the underdog," he told reporters after being introduced as the BN candidate for Sungai Besar bhy-election by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, here last night.
Polling for Sungai Besar parliamentary by-election is on June 18.
The seat fell vacant following the death of its MP and Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Datuk Noriah Kasnon in a helicopter crash in Sebuyau, Sarawak, on May 5. — Bernama
