PUTRAJAYA: Aerotrain services at the KL International Airport (KLIA) has resumed its operations today, said airport operator Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB).
The services of an automated people mover that transports passengers between the main terminal to the satellite buildings were reportedly halted yesterday due to corrective maintenance.
As of 7.22am, MAHB in a posting on its social media page Facebook, said both of the aerotrains in KLIA were operating as per normal today.
"We also have 30 transport vehicles including 12 buses on standby to ensure a seamless journey. Thank you to all airport units for being selfless and absolutely fabulous in the last 24 hours. We appreciate all your effort," it said.
Yesterday, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, who regretted the incident, said he had asked MAHB to give a quick report on the KLIA aerotrain services breakdown.
Netizens vented their anger in social media following the breakdown of two KLIA aerotrains at about 8am yesterday.
Later, MAHB said one of the aerotrains resumed operations at 10.38am yesterday morning. — Bernama
