Destini to pursue rail MRO biz

SHAH ALAM: Integrated engineering solutions provider Destini Bhd is looking to expand into rail maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) in a bid to complete its presence in the MRO business.
"We've been participating in a few KTM tenders for rail MRO, but there is no contract yet. We're working towards rail, so it completes the cycle of MRO of aviation, marine land transport, automotive and rail," managing director Datuk Rozabil Abdul Rahman told reporters after the company's AGM here today.
He noted that Destini is bidding for RM250 million worth of rail MRO and the supply of equipment.
"We're in engineering MRO, so going into rail is not really a big issue for us and we've been planning for it since last year. This year we're ready to go for that," Rozabil replied when asked of the company's capability into rail MRO.
