PUTRAJAYA: PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli has lodged a report at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters on alleged corruption in the Selangor state government.
He arrived at the office at about noon today accompanied by Kelana Jaya MP Wong Chen, Kapar MP G. Manivannan and Pakatan Harapan chief secretary Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, and handed over information and evidence of alleged misconduct in the Selangor state government administration.
"I cannot disclose the details at the moment. I am bound by the Act. My only hope is that we should allow SPRM (MACC) to investigate without political interference and other perceptions.
"Be fair to the Selangor state government and MACC. Treat it as a normal thing.
If there is basis, they (MACC) will go ahead (with the investigation). If there is information, it can be handed over to the MACC," he told reporters at the MACC headquarters compound.
At a PKR Political Bureau meeting on May 24, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail asked Rafizi to submit all evidence of the alleged corruption in the Selangor state government to the MACC.
Several news portals recently reported on alleged corruption in the Selangor government administration.
The reports came following a leaked screen shot of Rafizi's conversation in a WhatsApp chat group that was circulated on social media about allegations of graft and "requests for women" in dealings with the Selangor state government. — Bernama
