Court fines parking tout RM500

KUALA LUMPUR: The Magistrate's Court today imposed a RM500 fine in default five days jail on a parking tout who pleaded guilty to forcing and ordering a driver to park his vehicle without valid authority.
Magistrate Noorul Fhaiez Mohd Nayan passed the sentence on Azizul Kusnan, 21, and ordered him to pay the fine today.
Azizul, a security guard, was charged with committing the offence in front of RHB Bank in Jalan Tun Razak here at 2am on May 29.
Police caught him when he demanded RM20 from a driver after the latter had parked his car there.
The Magistrate's Court had yesterday imposed fines of between RM500 and RM550 on five parking touts, one of them a Sri Lankan, for a similar offence at another location here. — Bernama
