Ahmad Zaki Resources eyes SUKE, DASH highway projects

    KUALA LUMPUR: Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB) has bid for RM2.5 billion to RM3 billion worth of projects, which include the tender to build two major expressways in Greater Klang Valley, namely the Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) and the Damansara-Shah Alam Elevated Expressway (DASH).
    "We have submitted those tenders together with other bidders and now we are waiting for the result," its managing director Datuk Wan Zakariah Muda told reporters after its AGM today.
    The RM4.18 billion SUKE and RM4.3 billion DASH projects are under Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings Bhd. Construction on the two projects are expected to begin this year, with completion in 2019.
    As at March 31, 2016, Wan Zakariah said AZRB's order book stands at RM4.3 billion, that will keep the company busy for the next four years.
