Good things come in threes

SHOWCASING its sheer determination and commitment to excellence in its “products”, S P Setia Berhad recently added three awards to its expansive collection of trophies and accolades.

Recently, the company was presented with the Platinum award at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Awards ceremony held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It was the sixth consecutive year that S P Setia was voted as a trusted brand. Nominations were compiled by global market research company Ipsos, (commissioned by Reader’s Digest) which selected over 5,000 people to cast their votes. Representing Asia, the respondents are from Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan and Malaysia, about half of whom are Reader’s Digest subscribers.
A first for S P Setia to bag the Platinum award, its executive vice-president Kow Choong Ming stated, “It is testament that our continuous hard work to strive for better results did not go unnoticed”.
Winning this award was a huge honour for the team, he added and thanked those who believed in the brand and voted for them.
Just days after receiving the good news of its Platinum win, the property developer was informed that it was also winners of the renowned Fiabci Prix d’Excellence award. There in Panama City to receive the Gold award on behalf of “Team Setia” in the Sustainable Development category was S P Setia president and CEO Datuk Khor Chap Jen.
Honoured to have won, especially in that particular category, Khor said, “It’s what Setia is all about ... delivering eco-developments, as well as promoting sustainability for our future generations.”
More than delighted with this achievement, Khor thanked everyone for their support and belief in the brand and what it’s capable of delivering. “It’s testimony to our culture of excellence at Setia,” he added.
And just when you thought “what a feat!” the developer added a another feather in its cap. S P Setia was announced as a Top 10 developer in Malaysia in the highly coveted architectural awards, the BCI Asia Awards 2016.
SPARKLER IN THE MAKING
Located in Semenyih, a town near the border of Negri Sembilan, is the maiden phase of this flagship project, a nature-inspired township called Setia EcoHill 2. This first phase will offer 258 units of double-storey terraces and 96 units of linked semi-detached houses. The 1,010-acre mixed development township is situated next to Setia EcoHill. Designed with nature at the fore, 51% is slated for landscaping and infrastructure, while 38% is earmarked for residential and 11%, for commercial properties.
Excited are S P Setia’s executive vice-president Tan Hon Lim and his team as they talked about Setia EcoHill’s excellent take-up rate at its launch in 2013.
There already is a buzz in the industry, especially with word of the RM5 billion gross development value (GDV) tag the township is valued at, in addition to its eight themed gardens homing more than 300 species of flora and fauna, and its promise of the best of highlands, woodlands andwetlands intertwinedwith the developer’s “Live, Learn, Work, Play” DNA.
According to Tan, prices will range between RM553,000 and RM668,000 for linked terrace units and linked semi-d’s.
Buyers and investors will be glad to know that the Setia 10:90 buildthen-sell programme will be applicable where purchasers will only need to put a 10%downpayment and begin financing the balance of their 90% loan once the property is completed.
