'The People's Candidate' motto for Sungai Besar PAS candidate

SUNGAI BESAR: "The People's Candidate" is the motto of PAS candidate Dr Abdul Rani Osman in the three-cornered Sungai Besar parliamentary by-election, polling for which is on June 18.
He may not be a local but the Meru state assemblyman is well-known enough for he is the former Selangor PAS commissioner.
Dr Abdul Rani, 58, born and bred in Selangor, has four children and as many grandchildren.
The medical doctor runs a private clinic in Meru, Klang.
The former Kapar PAS vice-chief obtained a medical degree from Tanta University in Egypt, and had served for eight years with the Health Ministry and spent four years at a Sarawak hospital.
Meanwhile, Parti Amanah Negara candidate Azhar Abdul Shukur, 51, is the son of former Sungai Burong assemblyman Datuk Abdul Shukur Sirat.
The Sungai Besar-born received his early education at SMK Sungai Besar, SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra and SJK(C) Yoke Kuan, Sekinchan.
The Sungai Besar Amanah chairman furthered his studies in Hadith and Islamic Studies in Karachi, Pakistan.
