Three men perish in Kuala Selangor-Kuala Lumpur road accident

KUALA SELANGOR: Three individuals were killed when the car they were travelling in skidded and went out of control before it flipped into a ditch near Ijok, here today.
The deceased identified as Lim Soon Aik, 42, the driver, passengers Lim Hock Lian, 45, and Lim Keng Loong, 45, were passing through Ijok on their journey to Kuala Lumpur from Kuala Selangor, when they met with the fatal accident.
Kuala Selangor district police chief Supt Ruslan Abdullah said in the 4.30am incident, the car had veered out of control on KM18.5 of Jalan Kuala Selangor – Jalan Kuala Lumpur before flipping into a ditch on the left side of the road.
"Two victims were thrown out of the car due to the impact of the collision and landed on the road. They died from severe injuries to their head and body.
"The remaining victim was found dead inside the ditch," he said.
The bodies were sent to Hospital Tanjung Karang for a post-mortem.
Police have informed all of the victims' next-of-kin and the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
