Agong breaks fast with Cabinet and foreign representatives

KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah attended a breaking of the fast with Cabinet members and Muslim foreign representatives at Istana Negara here, tonight.

He was accompanied by the Tunku Panglima Besar Kedah Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.

Also present were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa.

Among the Cabinet ministers present were International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid.

Among the foreign representatives who attended were from Bangladesh, Egypt and Azerbaijan.

Also feted during the event were 80 Quran memorisation students from Darul Quran Ittifaqiyyah, Keramat, here.

The breaking of the fast was followed by Magrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers headed by Istana Negara assistant religious officer, Ustaz Zulkifli Salleh. — Bernama
