Technician pleads not guilty to rape

KUALA LUMPUR: A technician pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court today to a charge of raping his girlfriend's 13-year-old sister.
Muhammad Syahir Naim Ramli, 20, was charged with raping the girl in a house in Ulu Klang here at 12.30pm last May 15.
The charge, under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code, provides a maximum imprisonment of 20 years and is liable to whipping, if found guilty.
DPP Liyana Zawani Mohd Radzi did not offer bail as the offence is non-bailable. Judge Datin M. Kunasundary set July 25 for mention. — Bernama
