Bintulu Port awards RM11.8 million palm kernel handling contract

PETALING JAYA: Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd has awarded a RM11.78 million contract for the handling of palm kernel products at Bintulu Port to Syarikat Perdagangan Udie Sdn Bhd.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia last Friday, it said that Syarikat Perdagangan Udie will design, construct, deliver, test and commission four units of portable conveyor belt system and other equipment, within five months from the date of notice to commence work.
The company will also commence service handling of palm kernel products for 60 months upon delivery of the portable conveyor belt system and other equipment.
The liquidated and ascertained damages is RM2,000 a day or part thereof for delay in delivery of the portable conveyor belt and RM1,000a day or part thereof for delay in delivery of bulldozer, forklift, backhoe and excavator.
