KUALA LUMPUR: Non-governmental organisation myWatch chairman Datuk R Sri Sanjeevan who was arrested by police last week for extortion was warded at the Seremban General Hospital after suffering chest pains.
A close relative of the suspect who wanted only be identified as Mohan said Sanjeevan had complained of chest pains before police sent him to the hospital.
"He also has intense pain on his right arm, in the region where he had suffered a gunshot wound in 2013.
His remand expired today but he was re-arrested over another case and will be kept in custody for investigations." said the relative.
Sanjeevan who claims to be an anti-crime fighter was arrested at the Nilai toll plaza in a sting by a federal police team on Thursday following a police report made by an illegal 4D gaming syndicate member who had alleged that the suspect threatened to expose his illegitimate activities if he did not pay up RM25,000.
