SERI KEMBANGAN: Open burning on Mex Highway right next to the Seri Kembangan exit gave its users an eerie feeling of driving through smog.
"It was like right out the horror movies where you see people driving through thick smog. It has burning since yesterday (Sunday)," highway user Teoh Ben Goh told theSun.
The Environmental Pollution unit of the Department of Environment has received numerous reports from the public since Sunday about the open burning at Taman Puncak Jalil.
"We have received 3-4 reports of the open burning and are investigating the matter. We have identified the spot at Taman Puncak Jalil and later today our officer will go going to the site," a contact person told theSun.
The public can call toll free 1-800-88-2727 when open burning is spotted.
