Decision on PAA

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here will deliver its decision on Aug 8 on a constitutional question raised in the case of activists Adam Adli Abdul Halim and Mohd Fariz Abd Talib in relation to the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
Adam Adli and Mohd Fariz were charged with participating in the #KitaLawan street protest near Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman here on Feb 28, 2015 and were charged on Sept 8, 2015 under PAA.
On Dec 17, last year, they had filed an application to raise a constitutional question on whether Section 4 (1)( c), 4 (2) (c ) and 4 (3) of the PAA are inconsistent with articles 8, 9 and 10 of the Federal Constitution.
High Court judge Datuk Nordin Hassan fixed the decision date today.
