Sultan Johor wins 'F1' number plate with RM836,660 bid

PUTRAJAYA: The highly sought after 'F1' number plate has been won by the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
The rulers winning bid was a whopping RM836,660.
The other highly sought after 'F2' number plate fetched a winning bid of RM514,800, whereas F5 went for RM366,520 and F9 for RM404,800.
The transport ministry's vehicle licensing division announced the winning bids today.
The highly vaunted 'F1' number plate was tipped to fetch around RM1mil by the Road Transport Department (RTD).
The number plates ranged from 'F1' to 'F10' with the lowest bid being F10 at RM130,000.
The highest prices of bidding for number plates ever recorded in RTD history were RM748,000 for 'W 1 N' and RM520,000 for 'WWW 1' also by the Johor ruler in 2014 and 2012 respectively.
