TEMERLOH: A rubber tapper was charged in the Sessions Court here today with murdering her husband.
Ladinah Dolah Asli, 33, nodded her head after the charge was read out to her before judge Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya.
However, no plea was recorded.
The woman was charged with murdering Awang Mohamad, 42, between 6.30am and 7am on June 30 at their house in Kampung Paya Besar, Chenor, near here.
The charge, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the death sentence upon conviction.
The prosecution, conducted by prosecuting officer Insp Irmawathy Mohamad Yusof, requested the woman to be sent for psychiatric treatment.
Ahmad Faizadh allowed the prosecution's request and set Aug 3 for mention. — Bernama
