'Game of Thrones,' 'The Exorcist' and 'South Park' season 20 in store for San Diego Comic Con

FANS can expect news on new TV series or upcoming seasons of favorite shows, July 21 to 24, when this year's edition of the world's best-known Comic Con event takes place in San Diego, California, USA.
For exclusive previews of new series or juicy gossip on upcoming episodes, fans of TV series are in store for all kinds of exclusives at the 2016 edition of this major American event dedicated to popular culture.
Each year, a host of TV series appealing to geek culture are presented at San Diego Comic Con, sometimes with major news to unveil. This year, some of the cast of Game of Thrones will be on hand July 22 to talk about season seven of the show. John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Conleth Hill (Varys), Faye Marsay (la Gamine), Kristian Nairn (Hodor), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) will notably be making the trip.
The same day, the distribution team of The Walking Dead, including Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), will appear at Comic Con to talk about the show's seventh season, due this fall on AMC. Some even hope to catch a glimpse of exclusive footage from the new season. The show's spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead, will also be on the agenda, with its second season due August 21.
Mr Robot will get a moment in the spotlight, in the company of Rami Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin and Grace Gummer. Plus, Dominic Cooper, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will be on hand to talk about Preacher, an upcoming show on AMC.
World premieres of Powerless and The Exorcist
Fans will also be treated to first episodes of certain new series heading to US TV this fall. Warner will use its San Diego Comic Con event, July 20, to premiere pilots for five series expected during the 2016-2017 US TV season: Riverdale, Powerless, Frequency, People of Earth and Time After Time.
The following day, NBC will screen its comedy The Good Place, starring Ted Danson and Kristen Bell. Fox will present its new show, The Exorcist, July 22. During the convention's last day, the network will also release more details on the return of Prison Break, in the company of the cast, as well as the 24 reboot 24: Legacy.
The CBS conference will focus on the network's MacGyver reboot, Scorpion and its new summer show American Gothic. And all eyes will be on Syfy, July 21, for a first glimpse of its Van Helsing series. Finally, Netflix will be at Comic Con to spill the beans on Luke Cage, a new series due to land September 30.
The 2016 edition of San Diego Comic Con will also celebrate the 20th season of South Park, coming this fall on Comedy Central, and a new video game, South Park: The Fractured but Whole, coming December 6. — AFP Relaxnews
