DBE to expand Harumi franchise via JV

    KUALA LUMPUR: Poultry company D.B.E. Gurney Resources Bhd has teamed up with Distinct Legacy Sdn Bhd (DLSB) to establish an entrepreneur development programme to expand its HARUMi retail outlets nationwide.
    D.B.E's wholly owned subsidiary D.B.E Poultry Sdn Bhd signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with DLSB and Tengku Faizwa Tengku Razif today.
    The parties will set up a JV company to carry out the business. D.B.E Poultry and DLSB will hold 40% stake each while Tengku Faizwa will hold the remaining 20% stake.
    D.B.E group managing director Datuk Alex Ding Seng Huat said it is confident of achieving 3,000 kiosks, 300 food trucks and 30 restaurants by 2018.
    HARUMi is a halal-certified local fried chicken brand created by D.B.E and Taiwanese expertise. To date, it has established over 100 kiosks across Malaysia.
