Technician charged with murder of girlfriend

KUALA LUMPUR: A technician was charged in the Magistrate's Court here today with murdering his girlfriend, early this month.
Loh Kok Wan, 36, allegedly killed Gan Hong Bee, 36, a promoter at a pub, at Flat Jinjang Baru, Taman Jinjang Baru, Sentul here, at 6.28am on July 16.
No plea was recorded from the accused when the charge was read out to him before magistrate Siti Radziah Kamarudin, who fixed Sept 28 for mention.
The charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor Nor Diana Nor Azwa prosecuted, while Loh was represented by Datuk Geethan Ram Vincent. — Bernama
