Five Thai women detained for violating visit pass

    ALOR STAR: Five Thai women were detained in an operation by the Kedah Immigration Department at a reflexology center in Taman Pekan Baru, Sungai Petani here, early today.
    Kedah Immigration enforcement head Mohd Shahrir Khalil said the five women were among 10 people who were inspected during the raid at the premises at 12.05am.
    "The five Thai women, aged between 34 and 50, were detained for violating their social visit pass, he said in a statement today.
    They were taken to the Immigration lock-up at the Home Ministry Complex here for further investigation before being sent to the Belantik Immigration Depot in Sik. — Bernama
