AWC wins Cyberjaya jobs worth RM12.7m

    PETALING JAYA: AWC Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary M&C Engineering and Trading Sdn Bhd has been appointed subcontractor for RM12.67 million worth of jobs for an education hub located in Cyberjaya.
    M&C has been awarded three packages, which are to execute and complete the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the air conditioning and mechanical ventilation services; electrical and lightning protection services; as well as extra low voltage service.
    The subcontract for the Cyberjaya education hub is nominated to M&C by the project owner Persada Mewah Sdn Bhd under the main contract works with Axventure Sdn Bhd.
    The project commences immediately and is to be completed by Aug 17, 2017.
    “The subcontract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of AWC Group and over the duration of the subcontract,” AWC said in a stock exchange filing.
    The project is for the construction of a private college to be built on a piece of land measuring 4 acres.
    When completed, the facility will house an administration block, an academic block with comprehensive facilities, café, library and surau facilities (including car park facilities). The subcontract represents the first phase in the development of the Cyberjaya education hub.
