Johor cops seize RM1.048m in drugs

JOHOR BARU: Police have seized drugs worth RM1.048 million and detained two male suspects in Tampoi and Majidee on Tuesday.
Johor Baru Selatan (JBS) district police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh said in a press conference here on Wednesday.
He said police detained the first suspect a 60-year-old man in Tampoi at 6pm and another 30-year-old suspect in Majidee at 8pm.
Sulaiman said police discovered 3.649kg of heroin, 1.990kg of Syabu and 19,500 tablets of "pill kuda" along with a bag containingRM18,870 in cash at the second suspect's house.
He said both suspects have previous convictions for drug related crimes.
Sulaiman said both suspects have been remanded and the case will be investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
