Najib, Rosmah attend Wanita Umno Raya do

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister and Umno President Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak today attended the Wanita Umno Aidilfitri open house at the Putra World Trade Centre here.
Najib and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, were received upon arrival at Dewan Merdeka at about 11.30am by Wanita Umno chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
They posed for a group photograph with Wanita Umno leaders.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister and Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi; Defence Minister and Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein; Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak and Federal Territories Minister and Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
Others who attended the event included Youth and Sports Minister and Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin; Deputy Tourism and Culture Minister and Puteri Umno chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin; Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, menteris besar and Umno Supreme Council members.
Many among the thousands of guests recorded 'selfie' photographs with Najib. At the event, the Umno president handed over donations from 'Tabung Pejuang Nadi Rakyat' to 15 Wanita Umno and Barisan Nasional veterans.
The fund, set up under Wanita Umno, was launched at the wing's general assembly on Dec 9 last year to honour the deeds of Wanita Umno and BN veterans.
Shahrizat told reporters each of the 15 people received RM2,000.
Najib and Rosmah spent more than an hour at the event where 12 stalls dished out a variety of food including 'nasi beriani', roti canai' and 'satay' and singers and musicians belted out numbers. — Bernama
