Get-rich-quick schemes: 16 individuals nabbed

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have nabbed 16 individuals suspected of involvement in get-rich-quick schemes involving RM50 million in investments in Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan recently.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pix) confirmed the arrests through his official Twitter today.
He said the schemes were allegedly to have deceived 50,000 investors.
All of the suspects were detained by the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (JSJK).
"Well done JSJK @PDRMsia for busting get-rich-quick schemes in Kuala Lumpur and Kelantan. (JSJK @PDRMsia) detained 16 individuals who have deceived 50K investors involving RM50 million in investments #GoPDRMGo," Khalid said.— Bernama
