PUTRAJAYA: Terengganu Mentri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman (pix) today stressed that the state leadership is still stable and under control, and that nothing unusual will take place at the State Legislative Assembly sitting on Monday.
He also described the latest political development in Terengganu as a storm in a teacup or merely a fight between brothers.
"It's normal, a fight occurs even between husband and wife, let alone between brothers. It will only strengthen the solidarity (of Terengganu Barisan Nasional leadership).
"Insya Allah, everything will be solved," he told reporters after attending the Persatuan Anak Terengganu di Perantauan's open house here today.
When asked whether he would meet with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak anytime soon, the mentri besar said: "I always keep in touch with the prime minister and I have assured him that I have it under control.
Ahmad Razif also called on all quarters to move forward in ensuring success for Terengganu development agenda.
Over the past week, Ahmad Razif and former Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said had been criticising each other, hence creating a speculation of a possible snap state election.
In the last general election, Terengganu Umno formed the government with a slim majority after securing 17 state seats to defeat PAS (14) and PKR (one). — Bernama
