We can work together if Chow appointed as CM: Rashid

GEORGE TOWN: Deputy Chief Minister I, Datuk Rashid Hasnon (pix) said he can work with state Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitigation committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow without any problem if the latter is appointed as Chief Minister.
Rashid, who is also state PKR deputy chairman, said he had known Chow since 1998, when both began their political career.
Recently Chow was named as the "natural choice" to replace Lim Guan Eng as Chief Minister if anything happens to Lim.
"We had gone through a lot of things together, and if he is chosen to be the next Chief Minister, I have no problem working with him," he said when met at Gurney Hotel for the Maqasid Syariah conference here today.
Rashid said even though the idea of a state snap election has been called off, the relationship between PKR and DAP in the state was still good as the decision was made after a series of discussion between involving both high level party leaders.
The proposal to hold an election was among the two options available, the other was to wait for the next general election due by August 2018, in response to the two corruption charges faced by Lim. — Bernama
