KPRJ to build 3,000 RMRJ houses by 2018

    ISKANDAR PUTERI: Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor (KPRJ) Sdn Bhd is expected to build 3,000 Rumah Mesra Rakyat Johor (RMRJ) by 2018.
    The RMRJ concept gives an opportunity for the people who have land but could no afford to build houses to own houses.
    KPRJ Chief Executive Officer Abd Razak Mohd Yusoff said they had allocated RM20 Million to build the RMRJ houses.
    "A total of 500 houses will be build this year, 1,000 more next year and the rest in 2018," he said at the RMRJ project pre-launch in Kota Iskandar, today.
    The houses measure 750, 850 and 1,000 square feet with prices starting at RM64,000 to RM85,000 after subsidised.
    Meanwhile, State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Abd Latif Bandi who was present at the launch said the RMRJ project was expected to reduce the gap of high demand for the concept houses offered by Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SPNB). — Bernama
