Dr Mahathir admitted to IJN for chest infection

KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) today for treatment of chest infection.
IJN's Corporate Communication Department in a statement said the former prime minister is expected to be kept under observation for the next few days.
Dr Mahathir, 91, is currently admitted to the general ward and based on the medical team's advice, visitation is strictly for close family members only, it said.
In 2013, he was admitted to IJN for 10 days from Nov 16 for chest infection. — Bernama
