Unemployed man jailed 15 days for stealing 6 Milo packets

KUALA LUMPUR: For stealing six Milo packets from a supermarket, an unemployed man was sentenced to 15 days jail by the Magistrate's Court here today.
Magistrate Husna Dzulkifly handed down the punishment to Aw Man Chong, 57, after he pleaded guilty to stealing six packets of Milo worth a total of RM73, from the UO Superstore in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, here at 9.05pm, on Aug 7.
The court ordered the sentence to run from the date of his arrest on Aug 7, 2016.
According to the facts of the case, the accused was arrested on the sidewalk of the supermarket after exiting without making a payment at the counter.
The accused, who was not represented, has a past record for 11 drug offences, a theft case and a robbery. — Bernama
