KUALA LUMPUR: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) anticipates the Canadian government to make a final decision on the Pacific North West liquefied natural gas (LNG) project within the September to November period this year.
Currently Petronas is waiting for the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) to finalise its report.
Petronas president and CEO Datuk Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin said the oil major would make the final investment decision upon a total review of the project.
"Until we get the final decision (from the Canadian government) with the final conditions, then only we can decide. We will take a total review and see what are the implications and we will also revisit the market conditions," he explained.
