Azmin: No stop work order for EKVE

SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government has not issued a stop-work order to the East Klang Valley Expressway (EKVE) project after it reportedly caused an earth fissure at a kindergarten nearby.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali (pix) said there's no need to issue the order unless the developer has not complied with safety guidelines.
"Elizabeth Wong (Selangor's executive councillor for Tourism, Environment, Green Technology and Consumer Affairs) has informed the Department of Environment to monitor the project, and if they find any problem, we will take action," Azmin said when met by reporters during the launch of Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) held at Stadium Malawati here today.
