Dirty cop charged with accepting bribe

SHAH ALAM: A traffic police investigating officer was charged with accepting RM2,000 cash from a businessman, who was detained in a road block at a Sessions Court, today.
Inspector Muhammad Ludin, 36, who is attached with the traffic police station, North Klang district headquarters claimed trial to accepting RM2,000 from Gan Dickon Christ.
He is alleged to have committed the offence at 8.20pm on July 7, 2014.
The charge is under Section 165 of the Penal Code, which is carries two years jail with a fine or both, upon conviction.
Ludin's lawyer J.Jayarubbiny said her client is married with three children aged 10, 9 and 3 years.
She asked the court to impose a RM3,000 bail with one surety.
Sessions judge Asmadi Hussin granted the RM3,000 bail with one surety and fixed Sept 29, 2016 for a case management and Oct 10 to Oct 13, 2016 for the hearing.
Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission (MACC)'s prosecuting officer Michael Joimin prosecuted the case.
