Viral video of 'genital ramming' was merely a prank: Police

PETALING JAYA: Police said no element of bullying was involved in a recent viral video where a group of youngsters were seen shoving and pushing a boy with his legs around an electricity pole.
In a statement posted on Facebook today, police said the video was merely rough play among the boys.
The statement added that police had received a report from the victim's family after the video went viral on Facebook.
"The video allegedly involving students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Meru was just a prank and not actually a bullying incident.
"Further investigation by the police has found out that the incident was a just a joke and made without the intention to bully the victim," the statement said.
The 11-second video shows a group of youngsters holding a boy spreadeagled by his limbs and repeatedly ramming his genitals against the electricity pole
The group delivers six blows as the victim is heard crying out in pain.
The video, which was shared by a Facebook user Ryyan Hidayat, had since garnered almost 300,000 views and more than 4,000 shares.
