Petronas promotes unity among Malaysians in National Day campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: 'To Malaysia with Love' is the theme of the Petronas National Day and Malaysia Day campaign launched here today.
The 35-day campaign is divided into two parts, told through a commercial and six short videos.
The first part is about how Petroliam Nasional Berhad has contributed towards nation-building since its inception 42 years ago, said Petronas senior general manager of group strategic communications Zahariah Abd Rahman.
Through a short story, the second part shows how "everyone of us plays an inspiring part in our daily lives," she said when launching the campaign here today.
"Through this campaign, we continue to present inspiring stories that impart the values we commonly share and cherish, values that hold us together as a nation of uniquely diverse but united people, and values that make us truly Malaysians," Zahariah added.
The two-minute commercial titled 'Take Care' was shown during the launch.
Zahariah said it promoted the spirit of family unity, kindness and togetherness among Malaysians.
"The commercial is a reflection of how our lives are intertwined and connected, regardless of our diverse backgrounds," she said.
She said the commercial and videos provided continuity in the efforts of Petronas to promote unity and social cohesion among Malaysians.
The videos have been shown on major television channels and on Youtube since Aug 15, whereas the commercial will air from today until Sept 18.
