15 drug addicts nabbed in Batu Pahat

JOHOR BARU: Fifteen drug addicts were nabbed in an integrated operation carried out at an oil palm estate in Kampung Parit Berong, Senggarang, Batu Pahat, today.
Batu Pahat police chief, ACP Abdul Wahib Musa said in the operation from 7am to 1pm, 3.22gms of morphine and 0.2gm of Syabu were seized, and 14 men and a woman, aged between 18 and 66, who tested positive for morphine, were detained.
"Three of the detained suspects who were found to possess heroin and syabu attempted escape but were caught" Abdul Wahib said in a statement here, today.
The drug den raided had just been in operation for three weeks and had previously changed its location to escape detection. — Bernama
