15,000 superbikes to ride into Port Dickson in annual bike fest

    SEREMBAN: A grand crowd of 15,000 superbikers from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei and the Asian region are expected to join the Port Dickson International Bike Fest (PDIBF) 2016, held at Mayang Sari Resort, Port Dickson for three days beginning Sept 2.

    PDIBF, which is in its 14th year, is an annual event organised by the Seremban District Motorcycle Club (SDMC) in collaboration with the Negri Sembilan Tourism Board (LPNS).

    SDMC president, Azhar Abd Aziz, said the festival will include participation from several corporations, and will be enlivened with more than 50 stalls and an exhibition displaying various superbikes, motorcycle accessories, clothes, food and other items.

    "The visitors will also be entertained with performances from local bands and a lucky draw with a modified motorcycle as its main prize. In conjunction with the Merdeka month, activities such as the singing of the national anthem and flying the Jalur Gemilang during its superbike convoy will also be carried out.

    "Visitors will also be given the opportunity to visit 'BMW Motorad On Tour' (brought by Wearnes Johor Baru) at its main site, as well as ride on its latest model. Allianz Insurance will also join PDIBF as the insurance coverage advisor for its superbikes," Azhar said here today.
