Malaysian government condemns truck bomb attack in Turkey
PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian government has condemned the truck bomb attack in the Cizre district of the south eastern province of Sirnak, Republic of Turkey on Friday.
The bomb attack, reportedly targeting Turkish police, killed at least 11 and injured 78 others.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said the Malaysian Government expresses its deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Turkey, particularly to the family members of the victims affected by the attack.
It said Malaysia hopes the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
Even though Cizre is not a popular location for Malaysian tourists, all Malaysian citizens residing and travelling to Turkey are advised to refer to the safety guidelines posted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia. — Bernama
