Video game shopkeeper charged with murder of businessman

KUALA LUMPUR: A video game shopkeeper was charged in the Magistrate's Court here today with the murder of a businessman about two weeks ago.
Khiew Bu Poh, 45, was alleged to have killed Wong Fong Sing, 48, at No. 5, Jalan Pelaga, Taman Cheras here, at 6.12am on Aug 19.
The charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
No plea was recorded from Khiew after the charge was read to him before Magistrate Siti Radziah Kamaruddin.
Oct 28 was set for mention pending autopsy report.
Deputy public prosecutor Aftal Mariz Mohamed appeared for the prosecution while Khiew was unrepresented.
According to media reports on Aug 21, the body of the businessman was found wrapped in bed sheets and curtain in the back of an abandoned Toyota Hilux in Jalan Serai Wangi, Taman Cheras. — Bernama
