CYBERJAYA: Former PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa (pix) tonight announced that he has joined Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).

"For me, Amanah is the party to continue the original struggles of PAS," he said at the "Merdeka Eve Dinner with YB Datuk Husam Musa" in Cyberjaya here.

Husam, who is the assemblyman for Salor, was sacked from PAS in April following his vocal criticism of PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang especially on alleged cooperation between PAS and Umno as well as the failure of the Kelantan government to tackle the issue of illegal logging. — Bernama
