Youth jailed, fined for doing wheelie on motorcycle

KUALA LUMPUR: An assistant electrician was sentenced to a day's jail and fined RM5,000, in default three months' jail, by the Traffic Court here today for riding his motorcycle in a reckless and dangerous manner last July.
Magistrate Noorul Fhaiez Mohd Nayan handed down the sentence on Muhammad Faiz Tajuddin, 18, who pleaded guilty to the charge.
Muhammad Faiz was charged with committing the offence by doing a "wheelie" stunt on his Modenas Dinamik motorcycle, an act that could endanger himself and other road users.
The offence was committed between 10.30pm and 10.35pm on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman here last July 31.
